Here at Villages – we are all about family, friends and fun! That’s why we want to make sure you have the scoop on some great local events you can enjoy this summer.
Beginning this week and continuing through August, a Film Fest is being held for you and your kids at the Santa Fe Springs City Library! The movies start at 2:00pm, making it the perfect time for snacks, so bring your homemade popcorn, chocolate cookies and juice boxes! And if you want to feel extra comfy, bring along your little one’s favorite blanket and pillow too! So mark your calendars because here is this summer’s lineup:
1. July 12 – The Muppets – Remember these classic characters? Your children will giggle away the afternoon!
2. July 19 – Puss in Boots – We all loved Puss in Boots when he was in Shrek, so just imagine how great he will be in his own movie!
3. July 26 – A Dolphin Tale – Dive into this film that will have your child exploring the depths of the sea!
4. August 2 – Happy Feet 2 – Sing along with these penguins and try and dance too!
Then, be sure to plan to attend a free concert by Latin American rock band SOTO on Wednesday, July 18, at 6:00pm, at Los Nietos Park in Santa Fe Springs. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and beach towels along with your favorite foods and desserts, but important of all – bring your friends and family. And don’t be afraid to get up and dance along as these singing brothers from Norwalk jam it out!
